The table shows the Proportions of Pupils Attending Four Secondary School Types Between Between 2000 and 2009.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
Write at least 150 words.

The table reveals the percentage of attendance in four categories of secondary school settings from 2000 to 2009.
As an overview, it is interesting to note that during the given period, while community schools enjoyed a fourfold increase in attendance, the others witnessed falling figures at different levels.
To begin with, attendance rate in secondary community school was a mere 12 percent in the early 2000s. However, there had been a sudden increase in said rate, marking a staggering 58 percent in 2009; this was the all-time high figure ever recorded during the given years. Equally interesting is the fact that this was also the biggest and only growth among the four surveyed sector.
On the other hand, Specialist schools, Grammar schools, and Voluntary-controlled schools all suffered a drop in terms of rate of attendance. Secondary schools run by volunteers, despite the would-have-been highest figure of 52 percent, took a big hit in pupil’s attendance; this figure decreased to a much lesser 20 percent in 2009. Grammar schools and Specialist schools underwent a similar pattern; the figure for the former fell from 24 percent down to a minimal 12 percent, while that of the latter only had a negligible 2 percent drop from 12 to 10.
