The two tables illustrate the income of coffee and bananas sold in five European sections in 1994 and 2004. Those products are named Fairtrade due to a good deal for the farmers from developing countries.
Overall, the unit of currency in the table is euro measured in millions. The trends of the five areas all go upwards but differently, and the most economical countries are the UK in coffee and Switzerland in bananas throughout the years (from 1999 to 2004).
At the beginning of the first table, Switzerland led the lists ( five countries ) but the growth is disappointingly slight, so do the others except for the UK, Denmark (1.8 to 2), Belgium (1 to 1.7) and Sweden (0.8 to 1) while the UK had risen up to a little 13 times more than its platform in 1999.
Regarding the revenues of bananas, the UK again has the greatest amount of money they earned for half of a decade from 1999, for the records: 15 million euros and 47 million euros. The UK only takes the second place in the second chart with an intermediate profit 1 in 1999 and 5.5 in 2004. Belgium has the same increment rate as the UK (about 4 million euros) but it only has the third position due to its poor start. The unremarkable others are Sweden and Denmark since they had decreased their turnovers ( from 1.8 to 1 for Sweden and from 2 to 0.9 for Denmark)
