The first graph gives data on average house prices in the UK and London between 1995 and 2013. The second one compares house prices in London and in other regions of England in 2013.
Overall, what stands out is that houses in London were more expensive in London compared to houses in general in the UK, they were also the dearest of other areas.
As regards the first chart, in 1995, houses in England costed an average of £130000. In 2013, they witnessed a moderate rise of nearly £70000. Looking at London, house prices were £200000 in 1995, and this number increased more than twofold in 2013.
Turning to the second chart, in 2013, it can be clearly seen that houses in London were the most expensive, costing £400000. This figure was twice as much as that of North West. Ranked second was South East, with each house costing more than £300000. Next came South West, where average house expenses were more than £275000. Houses in Midlands and North East are the cheapest, with about £100000 each house apiece.
