The given charts illustrate how much an average house costs in England and its capital London as well as comparing different urbans of England in term of the average house costs in 2013.
From an overall perspective, the number of people who live in London had to pay far more for a house compared to the country's average house price. Moreover, a standard house in London cost the most, whereas the least expensive one could be found in North East.
In the first graph, there was an upward trend in the house expenses in England generally and particularly in London from 1995 to 2013. In 1995, the house price in England was about 14,000 pounds and 20,000 pounds in London, more than 6,000 pounds. Subsequently, England’s house expenses and those of London rose significantly, roughly 20,000 pounds and 400,000 pounds respectively in 2013, nearly twice as much as the country's average.
In detail, top of the list was its capital, around 40,000 pounds per house. Next came South East, South West, North West, that figures about 32,000 pounds, 27,000 pounds and 20,000 pounds respectively. On the other hand, dwellers had to pay an extremely cheap price in North East and Midlands, just quite 10,000 pounds.
