Task 1: The table below shows the percentage of first year students who gave ‘very good’ rating to the resources provided by the college, for three courses. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The table gives the result of the survey about the proportion of freshmans who rated ‘very good’ to the resources in the college, for three courses.
Overall, while the law course had the highest percentage for other resources, the majority of first year students rated ‘very good’ for pre-course information, teaching. Moreover, teaching is the resource that has the highest number in economic course.
Looking more details in commerce class, 95 percent of freshmans rated teaching and pre-course information ‘very good’, equivalent to the figure for the teaching at economics course. With 93%, the tutor became the second highest resource given ‘very good’ ratings, 17% higher than the percentage of law course. Besides, the resources (print) and other resources showed the roughly same percentage, 85% to the former and 81% to the latter.
Regarding other courses, 90 percent of first year students argued that the tutor in economics was very good, while roughly 60 percent say that to pre-course information and other resources in economics course. Interestingly, the number of resources in law course ranged from 70 to 80 percent, except for teaching with 62%.
