In 2007, hospital road being the major route leading to the hospital was flanked on each side by 3 bus stops and had the staff and public car park on its east side. It was crossed on the south by city road and headed north towards the city hospital to make a T junction with ring road. The drive along ring road extended to the hospital’s south wing where the entrance to the car park was located.
Three years later, a round-about has replaced the junctions at each end of hospital road and the bus stops were removed to give room for a central bus station on the west side of the road. The staff car park maintained its initial location but became wider due to the removal of the bus stops. Another car park for public use was constructed near the west wing of the hospital.
Overall, the access route to the city healthcare center appears to have been made safer and more public friendly with the new constructions
