Essay topics:

Weekly earning of full-time graduate employees by type of degree and age

The graph illustrates information on the income per week of three types of graduates: higher degree, first degree and other credentials in 2002.

Overall, what stands out from the graph is that there were considerable upward trends for both first degree and other degrees, whereas the earnings of higher degree went in the opposite direction. Another interesting point is that the wage of 21 to 15 for three levels was the lowest salary and the highest uptake belonged to graduates with other types of qualification at about the age of 36 to 40.

Looking at the details, other degrees had the highest uptake and higher degree had the second highest uptake in the group of 21 to 25, which were at more or less than 400. Conversely, the youngest age of first degree was the lowest, having remained at around 350. After that, there was a significant soar in 31 to 35 of three levels. Furthermore, 35 to 40 of others remained the most outstanding point throughout, at about 820.

Subsequently, despite other degrees saw a decline sizably from more than 800 to 710 in the age of 50, the figure then recovered to nearly 800 in the age 60. The earnings of higher and first degree fluctuated in the 40 to 46. From 50 to the end, the salary of a higher degree went down to less than 700, however, there was a slight rise in the wage of the first degree.
