The table above illustrates how people at different ages( from teenage to 70s ) in Someland entertain themselves by showing their figures of time spent on 6 main entertainments per year on average.
It is apparent from the diagram that young people tended to watch more TV/videos, for that people under the age of 30 spent 1200 hours and 700 hours on it respectively per year. While the figure encountered a rapid decrease when it comes to middle-aged people( 30s ), it climbed up gradually until reaching 1100 hours per year for the old( 70s+ ). The situation is similar in terms of cinema -- In both cases, teenagers and retired people spend around twice as much time as those who are at working age, despite the fact that people generally spent less hours (less than 100) in cinema.
As for socializing with people, the preference also varied from different ages. It is clear teenagers and people in their 20s prefer “big parties” involving 4 or more people, both spending 350 hours per year, which is 14 time of that of people above 70 years old. The situation changes when talking about small-scale socializing, which is most popular among people in their 30s and is more preferred by the old than the youth.
When it comes to exercises, the most notable point was that the old people above the age of 60 spent no time on group sports. However, they comparatively prefer to choose individual exercises -- people above 70 years old on average spent the same amount of time to do individual spots with teenagers.
In conclusion, people in different ages tended to choose different ways of relaxation. However, we can see a trend towards solitary and smaller group activities as people ages and that teenagers and retired people spend a lot more time on entertainment than those of working age do.
