The climograph below shows average monthly temperatures and rainfall in the city of Kolkata.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
You should write at least 150 words.
The bar chart represents the average precipitation while the line graphs show the temperatures over a period of a year in the city of Kolkata. Overall, it is clear from the graph that temperatures experienced downward trends and temperatures reach the highest in July. Meanwhile, the precipitation recorded to have biggest amount in July.
Firstly, the temperatures in Kolkata started at 20 degree celcius. This climbed gradually and reach a peak at 30 degree celcius in May. However, over the next following months the temperature fell steadily until October where it is continued with a sharp reduction to 20 degree celcius at the end of the period.
Precipitation in Kolkata begin around 30 mm in January. However, on June the precipitation skyrocketed to about 270 mm and reach a peak about 330 mm on July. This increased roughly ten times compared to the beginning of the period. On the rest of the year, precipitation reduced significantly in October and reached the lowest on December which is around 10 mm.
