The graph below shows the number of university graduates in Canada from 1992 to 2007.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The graph below illustrates the amount of Canadian students who graduated in the 15-year period from 1992 to 2007.

Overall, the population of students who graduated in both genders was climbing over the years but in general, the female students always prevailed the male students during the period.

Taking a look at the graph, in the year 1992, nearly 100,000 female students achieved the degree from universities and the number went up slightly to 105,000 in 1995 before falling gradually to 100,000 in 1998. However, the female figure witnessed a significant growth from 1999 to 2006, which reached a peak at approximately 150,000 students in 2000.

To turn to the remaining figure, the amount of male students in 1992 was 70,000 which was 30,000 student less than the female figure. Similarly, the population of male student was went up and almost reached 80,000 students in 1994 before dropping to 70,000 again in 1998. However, in the period between 1999 to 2001, the number of male students who graduated from universities was unstable and started to increase dramatically which reached about 95,000 in the year 2000.
