Essay topics: You recently started commuting to work by bicycle and discovered that there is a problem with bicycle parking near the building where you work. Write a letter to the building manager and say
– Explain the reason for using a bicycle to commute.
– What problems have you encountered with parking?
– What are your recommendations to solve them?

Dear Sir or Madam,

Because this city is more and more crowded recently, more and more cars are in the roads. It become impossible to reach my office under than half an hour. So I am wondering why bother riding car? I can use bicycle, this can also be seen as an excise. So I started commuting to work using bike.

But this also troubles me a little, because your building seems not very friendly to biker. You see, there are no signs or whatsoever to mark the parking lot for bicycle, I could not find a parking place in my first day of riding, it spent me ten minutes in vain, so I have to bring my bike to my office. I'm wondering if there is a parking place for bicycle? And if yes, could you mark the entrance more clearly?

As economic developing, there will be more traffic jam, and people are more than willing to use bicycle as a mean to commute, this can save more time and more environment friendly. So it becomes crucial to have a good infrastructure supporting green traffic. I recommend you consider build a bicycle park if there is none, also give prompt to show where to enter and where to exit. This can help a lots.

Yours sincerely,
Jack Chen
