The plot shows the percentage of immigrants to Australia from UK, India, New Zealand, Vietnam and India in 1962, 1982 and 2002.
At the first look, the highest proportion of people who immigrated to Australia in the first and last year is Italy, which was 40% and 15%, this number in 1982 was 25% and it was owned by Vietnam.
The percentage of immigrants from Italy was significantly drop from the maximum value, compare to others proportions, 40% in 1962 to 20% in 1982 and continued declined to 15% in 2002, but still had the largest percentage in 2002. The percentage from New Zealand also decreased from 8% to 5% for the first and the last year and they held the lowest percentage for 2 decades-after.
The percentage from other 3 countries were not stable. However, they had the same trend which grew up for first 20 years and fell for next 20 years. From Vietnam, that rate grew from 10% to 25% - biggest percentage in 1982 and went down 15% in 2002. From UK was from 10% to 17% and fell to 12% for 3 years. And the last country, India, Its came from 2% the lowest portion to 15% and slightly decreased to 14.5% in 2002.
Overall, the percentage of immigrants to Australia from Italia and New Zealand was decrease for 40 years. In contrast, this number from UK, Vietnam and India was increased although those were not stable.
