A local college is having an international day. You want to speak about your country to students from different cultures. Write a letter to the college head.
In your letter:
● Tell him/her about the topics that you are going to talk about
● Explain why would they be of interest to the students
● Ask about any arrangements that you need to make to give the talk
Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter to express my interest in speaking about my country during the International day event conducted by our college.
My country has a unique culture. Therefore, I would like to talk about the food, sports, and language of my nation which reflects our traditions.
Furthermore, I am glad to discuss various positive contributions to the world that has made by the people of my country.
In the last few decades, many satellites were sent into space by my country. Many of the students at our college study aeronautical engineering. Therefore, I think it will be very interesting for them to know the important aspects happened in recent times. This information is often not available in academic textbooks.
I will really appreciate it if I can get access to a projector and a sound system as I want to play some videos.
I hope you will accept my request. Thanking you in advance.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours faithfully,
Adam Smith.
