One of your friends lives in another country. You want to spend some time working in that country. Write a letter to your friend.
In your letter, you should:
describe why you want to work in that country
tell him/her about your skills and experience
ask some questions related to work (e.g. wage/salary)
Dear Alyna,
I hope you are doing well. It has been a long time since I last wrote to you. I have recently started looking for jobs in Canada, the country where you are currently residing. I was hoping you could guide me about the work environment there.
I have been searching for work for a while now. As you know, in my current job I have to work day in and night out with little wage, without any overtime. While searching for employment opportunities, I have come across several reviews that stated how work life balance is prioritized and about the various benefits of working in the IT related professions.
Being a project manager in an IT company for 4 years, I have experience in client communication and collaborating with various teams in order to delegates the tasks, which are the prime requirements in a management role. Besides I also have attained certifications related to my position.
However, I have been able to get very little information related to the salary and working hours. Can you tell me more about the salary structure of the jobs there? I know you belong to a different field, so if you can refer me to a site or a person who can give me further details, that would be fine too.
I can’t wait to hear from you and join you soon.
Your friend,
XYZ
