A restaurant has placed an advertisement for waiters and waitresses in your local newspaper.
Write a letter to the restaurant, applying for the job. In your letter:
explain what you are currently doing
describe your suitability for this area of work
say when you can attend an interview
Dear Sir or Madam,
This is in response to your advertisement about your need for a waiter to work in your renown restaurant.
I passed out Bachelors in Culinary arts in the year 2008. Since then, I am a kitchen assistant cum floor waiter in the Hilton hotel located near Heathrow airport. My last job roles include: cleaning cutlery, waiting at the table to welcome guests, serving breakfast or main courses of the day to the guests, settling bills, dressing the tables once they leave and finally, taking telephone and online orders.
I can guarantee that I will easily fit into your organisation as I already have hands on experience in this area. To elaborate my strengths: positive attitude with customers which aids in conflict resolution, fluent in 3 languages namely English, French and Spanish and this will help me to cope up with multilingual customers, and I am scrupulous, meaning, I can honestly account for all monetary transactions. Finally, from the above one can understand that I am good at multi-tasking.
I am available immediately for an interview from the 1st of October as I am currently serving my notice period.
Sincerely,
Jack Dan
