You are going to another country to study. You would like to do a part-time job while you are studying, so you want to ask a friend who lives there for some help.
Write a letter to your friend. In your letter,
• give details of your study plans
• explain why you want to get a part-time job
• suggest how your friend could help you find a job

Dear Navneet,

I hope you are doing well in your business on foreign land. I am writing this letter to inform you that I got selected at York University in your country for the master’s course in microbiology and my course is a full-time activity for 2 years duration. The course work includes fours semesters with 1 project of 6 months duration. Each semester includes 26 credits, I have to pass at least 100 credits from all 4 semesters to get the certification.
However, the course fee is high as per my budget, earnings will aid my tuition fees during the study in Canada. The salary for part-time work will also help me to save some money for my future expenses. Therefore, I have decided to do a part-time job simultaneously with education.
I came to know that you are also living near York University, so you will be the best person for me to help in a job search. I insist you to please contact your local residence regarding any opportunity if they are aware in nearby. Please let me know as early as possible if you come across with the vacancy.
Hope to see you in Canada soon.
Best wishes,
Vishal
