You are going on a month training programme to the UK and know that the head of the course would like one of the participants to be the social events' organiser.
Write a letter to the Training Organiser. In your letter
• expressing your interest in the role
• requesting more information about it
• explaining what experience you have
Dear Mr Anderson,
I am writing to express my interest for the post of social events organiser which was advertised on your website. I will be attending the event management program which is to be held on 23 December of this year and would love the chance to showcase my knowledge.
However, there was very little information regarding the duties that needs to be carried out as an organiser. I would request you to provide for the details on the matter. In addition, I would like to know if the position is contractual or permanent, which will help me plan my career in advance.
One of the prerequisites of the course was that participants were required to have some basic knowledge related to events. I am currently working as an intern in XYZ event management company, since the last 3 months. Furthermore, I have planned and hosted events for my friends special day. I also have a portfolio which display all the work accomplishments.
I, therefore, hope and pray that you will consider my request and provide me the opportunity. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours sincerely,
Amelia Ames
