You have a full-time job and also doing a part-time evening course. You now find that you cannot continue the course. Write a letter to the course tutor. In your letter

Describe the situation

Explain why you cannot continue at this point

Say what action you would like to take

Dear Mr James,

I am writing to inform you that I won’t be able to continue the French course that I had enrolled for and have to leave it mid-way as I am unable to adjust the time for the same due to my hectic work schedule.

Let me explain to you in detail. I was quite motivated when I started taking the classes but I have recently been promoted to the post of sales manager in my company hence the responsibilities with the post has also been increased. Now I have to not only fulfil my duties but also keep an eye on the work of my team mates.

I don’t mean to complain but the pressure has mounted on me so much that I barely get time to complete my daily chores. In such a situation taking time out for the French class in the evening seems impossible for me.

If you could shift my batch on the weekends it may be possible for me to attend the course as I have off on Saturdays and Sundays and as such I would be able to give my 100% to the course.

I hope you will consider my request. Waiting to hear from you soon.
