You have a full-time job and you are also doing a part-time evening course. You now find that you cannot continue the course. Write a letter to your tutor. In your letter describe the situation
explain why you cannot continue at this time
say what action you will take
Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter to inform you that I will be discontinuing the part-time Oracle database administrator evening course which I have enrolled recently in your prestigious institution.
I have been attending the course for the past few days, and it is very informative and extremely helpful to build my skills as an Oracle Database Architect. However, I have to discontinue the course due to conflicts in my work schedules.
I am currently working as a database analyst in Oracle corporation. I was recently assigned to a new project for a prominent Asian client. The project is expected to be last for six months. I expected to work extended hours during this period which is convenient for my client. As a result, I will have to attend the important meetings between 3 pm to 9 pm. Therefore, I will not be able to attend classes in the evenings because the class starts at 5 pm.
I am aware that you give a long time break to your students in order to complete their work whether they are working professional or college pupils. I will be grateful if you will consider me to retake the batch after six months. Besides, it would be great to start with a fresh batch and I assure you that I will be completing the course after coming back to school.
I hope you will consider my request and understand the current situation.
Yours faithfully,
Shain
