You have a full-time job and you are also doing a part-time evening course.
You now find that you cannot continue the course.
Write a letter to your teachers. In your letter
describe the situation
explain why you cannot continue at this time
say what action you would like to take
Dear Mr. Paul,
I am writing this letter to inform you that owing to my full-time job, I am unable to proceed further with the evening course.
A few months back, I secured a permanent job as a Cashier at Walmart. At first, I thought I could continue with the job, as well as the temporary evening course parallelly. However, after giving myself a good time, I have come to realize that it would be impossible for me to pursue these two things at the same time.
My workplace is around 20 kilometers away from my residence, and it takes me around an hour or more to get there. Moreover, the work hours are a bit lengthy too. I have a dream to pursue higher studies shortly, and for that, I need to accumulate a part of the fees. Therefore, I desperately need to continue with the job.
However, in spite of whatever obstacles may come, I can promise you that I will complete the course once I find myself in a favorable position. I would request you to preserve my seat and progress so that I would not have to start afresh in the future.
Yours Sincerely,
Mousam
