You have just read an article in an international travel magazine which contain some information about your town that is incorrect.
Write a letter to the editor of the magazine. In the letter
- Correct the information in the article
- Explain why it is important for the magazine to give correct information
- Suggest what the magazine should do about this situation

Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this letter in the hope that this will bring your attention to the inaccurate information in the last week's issue of your magazine about my hometown, Ho Chi Minh City.
In the article about the history and development of Ho Chi Minh City, the writer stated that the old name of Ho Chi Minh city was Cho Lon, which was incorrect. The correct name was Saigon, Cho Lon was just the name of a small part of Saigon, which was formed in the seventeenth century.
I believe this information is very important for the readers to understand the true historic development of this beautiful city. Your error could cause confusion for people who are trying to learn about the development of Ho Chi Minh city as well as it could leave uncomfortable feelings for the locals like myself. Also, history should always be respected.
I suggest that the magazine should rectify this information in the next issue and it should be in a place that could draw attention to your readers, for example on the home page. Moreover, for the prevention of the same happened in future, please double-check all your information, especially those related to history, places or people, before posting it in the magazine.
I trust that this will be rectified quickly and I look forward to reading your next publication.
Yours faithfully,
Kevin
