You have participated in a party at your friend’s home last week. You may have forgotten your watch there. Write a letter to your friend and say
– Thank him/her for the party.
– Ask to look for the watch.
– Suggest what he/she should do about it.
Dear Sarah,
I hope this letter finds you in good health. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude for being invited to your birthday party.
Your party was one of the memorable nights, especially because you invited all our classmates from university. I couldn't imagine how you managed to find all of us. It seems an overwhelming task to me. Being reunited after at least 5 years, and reminisce about our past made your night luminous in our mind.
Unfortunately, as soon as I got back home, I realized that my watch is missing. I do remember I had it while we were at dining room, and I guess its strap was opened when we were dancing in living room or it could have been lost somewhere else when I left your house.
Actually it is a family heirloom and my grandfather pass it down to me at my graduation party. It has a sentimental value for me and I know he would be disappointed if he found out I lost it.
I hope it would not be a trouble for you to check your apartment to see if I put it somewhere in your house. About its appearance, it is a Rado, and my family is engraved on its back, the strap is brown and its face is white.
Please let me know if you find it, I will come by to give it.
Wish to see you soon
Warm wishes,
Yasaman Bolourian
