Dear Ronald,
I have received your letter 2 days ago. I am glad to hear from you and the feeling is nostalgic. First, I would like to know about your wellbeing. How are things going on in Canada, as I have not heard from you since you moved to Canada? You have mentioned to share information on the major news about which I am quite interested as there are a plethora of news which are also covered on our Daily News Channel.
I would like to share this with you as this query you have asked would make you feel proud of being an Indian. The changes that took place in India, when you were not here were quite interesting. You know what? The current GDP of India has reached to 6% which is quite high in comparison to previous year. This is a big achievement for India and I am surprised about it as this change took place in the presence of our new prime minister "Narendra Modi", who is a part of "Bhartiya Janta Party". Recently, he has taken a proliferation decision of using demonization as one of the weapons to fight against corruption and this has brought a drastic change in the economy, which also result in reduction of corruption from our country and also vanished almost 90% of black money from market. This contributed a lot towards the welfare of the people and country. Hence, I am sharing this information.
At the end I would say, you are my best buddy and always will. Keep writing to me as this makes our bond stronger. Give my best regards to your parents too.
I am eager to receive a reply from you about your views on these changes took place.
Your best friend,
Prateek Nayyar
