Essay topics:

You live in an English speaking country and you want to do some voluntary, unpaid work in a developing country. Write a letter to a company called Cultural Expeditions, which organizes such trips. In your letter:
• Explain why you want to do the voluntary work.
• State what your skills and experience are.
• Indicate where you would like to volunteer and for how long.
Begin your letter as follows: Dear Sir / Madam
You should write at least 150 words. You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing this letter to request my acceptance Cultural Expeditions volunteering program. Volunteering for young children has given me an immense sense of satisfaction and I wish to contribute my time to a social cause by teaching language and communication skills to the underprivilidged kids in developing nations.

I would like to teach the English language to young children whose access to primary education is very limited. Also, with my ability to communicate in Hindi and the English language teaching experience of more than five years at the primary school, I can assure you I will be a perfect fit for the task. Additionally coming from a humble background myself, I understand the role that education plays in one's development.

For this social cause, I would like to visit internal villages in Rajasthan, India where the Hindi language is commonly used. I would greatly appreciate if a trip could be arranged to India during my summer vacation i.e. from 1st of July to 25th of August.

Thank you for your consideration.

Yours faithfully,
Seema
