This essay summarizes the graph which shows the average number of people using car, bus or train for their daily commute in UK, this data is for the year 1970 to 2030.

Graph clearly depicts the increase in use of car as means of daily commute over the period of time. Right from 1970 till 2030, car has been at the top of the list when compared to bus and train. The use of car has almost doubled from the beginning of the graph to the end of the graph, on the other hand use of bus almost dropped by 25%. Bus is the only transport system which saw a down fall. Commuting by train being at the bottom in the year 1970 recovered itself and reached second place by 2030.

A comparison between the three transportation services show that in the year around 2015 when there was reduction in the use of bus. Around the same time people started adopting train as a service for daily commute which is a major reason we see a considerable amount of growth in its use from 2010 to 2030. Graph clearly shows there has been advancement in the the automotive industry and railways whereas buses were seen to be outdated.
