You travelled by plane last week and your suitcase was lost.
You have still heard nothing from the airline company.
Write to the airline and explain what happened. Describe your suitcase and tell them what was in it. Find out what they are going to do about it.
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing today to intimate you regarding the suitcase that I had lost during my transit from Manchester to london at the airport last week.
I was travelling back to my hometown post my meeting on the last Wednesday by flight number AI420, I had deposited my baggage during the check in but didn't find the same in london. The suitcase contains some of my clothes, toiletries and a few important notes and documents that I had taken from the meeting. These documents are of utmost importance to me and I would need them before the month end, failing which my work would be hampered. The suit case is made of black leather, bearing the initials of my name A.B. in golden letters near the number lock, on the top of the bag.
As a remedy, and as I really need the documents, I am hoping that you would be more than kind to keep the suitcase in your custody once you have found it. Also, would request you to inform me regarding the whereabouts once found so as to avoid any delay, will get it collected personally. I'm attaching a copy of the boarding pass and a picture of the bag for your ready reference.
Thank you for your consideration.
Yours truly,
Abhishek Berry
