Dear Sir/Madam,
My daughter attends your school and has recently informed me about an open position for a long-term volunteer who could assist children during school trips and I am writing to you to express my interest to this position. My daughter's name is Jenny Rebecca studying 4th grade with Mr. John being the primary staff of her class.
Since I have a strong relationship with your school and as my daughter is a student of your establishment since her Kindergarten, I know most policies in and out that are in place and owing to this, I can resonate myself to the job much easier. Also, I have a good rapport with most staffs and hence, I would not have any problems with taking up this position whatsoever.
I currently work from home, as I have to take care of my child. However, before my daughter was born, I have held some work experience as an event organizer at St.Johns school in Canterbury, where my job predominantly involves scheduling trips to the countryside, museum and to the local old age home. I strongly reckon that most duties of my past job would coincide with the current position at your school and it would be a facile task to quickly assimilate the roles and responsibilities of the job. In short, this role is going to be a piece of cake to me.
