Describe the possible effects on local people if the centre closed.
Dear Sir,
I am surprised to hear the news that the local council is considering to close the sports and leisure centre in order to save money. Allow to me explain in detail.
To elucidate me and my family have been using the club facilities for the past 20 years. Most of the social gatherings on important festivals are being hosted in the club as it can accommodate large gatherings in the basement. Additionally, elderly people use the club for doing exercise and yoga activities to rejuvenate their bodies whereas children use it for sports activities like swimming and other indoor games. Lastly, the club provides meeting rooms where the elderly people from the community gather for pass time.
Therefore the club holds a special place for all the residents in the community as most of the people have had a long association with the club. Furthermore, it is the only club within this town hence without it local community will suffer and their life will become miserable as they would not be able to do social gatherings and exercise regularly.
I hope you will reconsider your decision.
Yours sincerely
