Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to you after reading the notification shared by the secretory of our building regarding the closure of the sports and leisure center from 1st of January 2020, primarily due to the funding issues.
Most people in this residential locality are deeply saddened by this decision of the local council. This is the only sports club accessible to the public in the area, and almost everyday large number of children, women and grandparents spend their time here doing various activities.
The physical and mental benefits of spending time outdoors is immeasurable, children look forward to meet their friends and play every evening rather than engaging in screen time, women find spending time in the club therapeutic, older people take the opportunity to socialize. The center is a space for all the people in the community irrespective of their nationality or any other differences to join together and live.
The major drawback of shutting this club is having no space within the community for everyone to socialize; children would be forced to stay indoors the overall health of the community would find a downfall.
Finally, for the benefit of the people, would be delighted if the financials can be reworked and there could be a halt in closing down the club.
