Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter to express my grave concerns about the recent decision of the local council to close Tropicana sports and leisure center for monetary reasons. Closure of the sport center will negatively affect the community physically and psychologically.
My family, friends, and I frequently use the centre for various activities that include swimming, tennis, and yoga. In addition to that, the center is a perfect spot for locals to socialize and unwind after a stressful work week or heavy workload. Moreover, there are not many sports and leisure parks in this community. The children play soccer at the general high school playground and the Tropicana sports centre is the only centre that allows adults to bond and play a variety of games. At the same time, it acts as a breath of fresh air in our mundane lives.
Therefore, if the local council decides to continue with closing down the sports centre, it will be a great loss to the community as adults will find it difficult to socialize and keep fit.
I humbly request that you reconsider your decision and I look forward to a positive outcome from the council.
