The illustration shows a bicycle, which is an environmentally friendly vehicle. Describe this vehicle and its environmentally friendly feature.
The picture illustrates a bicycle and each part of the bicycle is noted by small letters besides.
The bicycle can be separated into six parts with their different functions which are called powertrain, motion system, drive system, braking system, bearing frame and saddle. The powertrain includes pedals, crank, chain, sprocket and cassette in which there is a simple operation is that the bike cassette receives the transmission from the chain and moves to the rear wheel, causing the wheel to spin and turn only in the forward direction. Moreover, thanks to the cassette, the rider does not need to step on the pedal continuously but the wheel still moves forward inertia. This system totally uses manpower to move that does need fossil fuel, which helps to protect the environment. The second system is the motion system which is considered as the most important system of the bicycle. This system is the wheels which consist of the rim, spoke, tire, hubs and cassette. Powertrain and motion systems act as power and transmission. When cyclist pushes the pedal, the force transmitted through cassette make the hubs cycle, the spinning disc moves the chain, the chain pulls with the rear wheel turning, then the wheel turns and rolls on the road surface to make the bicycle move forward. Drive system makes it possible to control the bicycle in a gentle and easy way when bicyclist wants to change directions which includes handlebars and headset. The front wheel serves as a guide, the direction of movement of the vehicle depends on the direction of the front wheel's movement, as the operator gets the grips to the right or left.
The remains are the braking system, chassis and saddle. The braking system includes brake cable, brake lever, front brake and rear brake. This is a great invention that helps bicycle operators control the speed when travelling on the road to get the minimum safety when riding. Meanwhile, the chassis is the backbone of a bicycle, linking all other parts together into a complete bicycle and there is a saddle for riders to sit in to ride the most comfortably. Apart from the mentioned parts, there are some small details such as pump, water bottle and gearshift which are sometimes needed but fail to join in operation of the bicycle.
