There are abundant types of professors in each university. This will raise the question of whether one professor who was voted most popular in a survey of students about their teachers is a better choice than the others. In my opinion, I take the position that I will choose the professor who was voted most popular in a survey.

First of all, the professor who was voted most popular in a survey could have an extraordinary teaching quality based on the survey of students. Take my previous experience as an example. When I was an undergraduate, I majored in computer science having diverse sorts of courses, such as data structure or algorithms. Of them, my favorite course was algorithms because the professor utilized an intriguing method to guide students, such as making some hilarious videos to illustrate these algorithm principles. Thus, the students of this class could always fully absorb the course material because of these interesting teaching approaches. In contrast, if we had chosen to take the class instructed by other professors, we might not have been able to obtain this knowledge deeply.

Second, the professor who was voted most popular in a survey might be willing to help students stuck in some difficult situation. For instance, when I was a freshman, I once took a course named basic programming, and I couldn’t afford an efficient computer then. Thus, I decided to write an E-mail to the professor and require him for assistance. Fortunately, he permitted me to exploit the computer in his laboratory, therefore, I could accomplish my assignments in time because of his aid. Moreover, in that semester, there was an intelligent robot project which needed a good deal of equipment to develop, like a highly efficient computer. He also made the students manipulate these instruments in his laboratory to achieve a variety of intelligent robot projects. With his help, we could receive lots of greatly pragmatic experiences in his course because of his active assistance. By contrast, if we had decided to take the class guided by other professors, we might not have been capable of having this precious opportunity to operate these advanced devices.

To sum up, these are the two reasons why I will choose the professor who was voted most popular in a survey of students about their teachers. On one hand, we could learn lots of professional knowledge more productively. On the other hand, we could also have a few chances to utilize these high-tech instruments.
