The article and the lecture are both about whether dinosaur survived the winter on Alaska's North Slope by migrating. While the author of the article argues that there are some arguments which can support the migration hypothesis, the lecturer dispute the claims presented in the article. Her position is that those evidence is not solid enough to prove the migration hypothesis.
According to the reading, the edmontosaur must have migrated due to the lack of food in the cold and dark winter. This specifc argument is challenged by the lecturer. She claims that since the summer was warmer, there were enough plant developed in summer. Despite the fact that the this plant can't have survived in winter, this can have provided enough food for the edmontosaur.
Secondly, the author suggests that the unearthed edmontosaur skeletons found from the same place can prove that edmontosaurs lived in herds.
