She mentions that hydroponic type to grow plants is a perfect solution to this problem, she explains that the astronauts can plant crops in water which take a small space and provide many types of crops, in addition these plant cycle water by release pure vapor water which can collect and use for drinking, moreover, the plant take carbon dioxide and release oxygen during synthesis their food, since the astronauts can breathe fresh oxygen.
Second, the writer argues, the zero gravity on Mars which is harmful to the muscles and decrease bone density. The lecturer contradicts this argument. She says that, astronauts can learn especific excersices to decrease muscles weakness, in addition, they can take vitamin D and calcium to protect bone density.
Finally, the author mentions that traveling to Mars make astronauts face harmful radiation from the sun, in the other hand, the lecturer states, the radiation from sun not harmful all the time, furthermore, the vehicle can provide with tool to measure the amount of radiation, in addition to light shield which can be used in the time when the radiation of sun become harmful.
