Essay topics:

The passage and the lecturer argue about the danger of glass in modern architects for birds which cannot distinguish between glass and open air. The passage provides three solutions for preventing this injury, but the professor dismisses them, and explains that none of them is effective.

In the first point, the reading asserts that on way glasses should be used for windows because birds cannot see in it. The professor refutes it, and explains that the out direction of this window works like a mirror and reflects the sky and trees, so birds cannot understand it and will be injured.

In the second point, the article claims that if architects use painting in design of window, birds can distinguish it, and also people can see out with no paint parts. However the professor declares that this design include some opening parts, and the birds see them as a hole and fly through it. Also, if they are painted, and have just extremely small opening part, the inside will be too dark for people.

Finally, the passage explains that as birds have natural ability to sense the earth magnetic fields for navigating, windows should have an artificial magnetic fields. The professor opposes this point by saying that Birds use this ability for long distances such as migrating from cold country in winter to warm country, and for short distances, they use eyes and brightness of light. So it will not be effective.
