sea pollution
Lecture and passage is both about negative impact of increasing plastic pollution in sea and how it affects marine animals. Almost all of the plastic pollution derives from land which permeate through drains, rainstorms and rivers. However, it looks harmless for fishes and turtles from outside, it retain without decomposing for hundreds of years.
According to the passage, substance used for plant cultivation is leading contamination that support growth of algae. As a consequence, the more algae grow in ocean, the oxygen degree gets plunged which cause unsustainable medium in water. The narrator mainly discussed about adverse effect of plastic bags and bottle on sea habitats. As time goes by, little particles of plastic spread through sea which gets swallowed by jelly fishes, and turtles. In the end, those animals choke or their stomach filled without having proper nutrition.
In the article, writer states culprit as another source of hazardous material for marine animals which does not break down easily. Furthermore, this kinds of trash block animal`s breathing system and make them choke. Also, animals in sea confuse it with food and eat it that leads them to death. While, the speaker mentions great number of sea birds die because of plastic associated strangle. He adds that more than one million sea bird, including gulls, become the victim of plastic bags.
