Both the reading and the listening discuss productivity and rewards at work. The article states that they enhance the quality of the employee of being rewarded. However, the lecture casts doubt on the points made in the reading. The professor says that the employees did not like it.
The first point the professor makes is that the employees did not want to work because of the idea of being rewarded. He explains that they could not see the reward. As an example he says that it was actually a contra productivity. This point casts doubt from the point made in the reading. The latter states that the rewards are attached to the performance which gauges the amount of productivity.
Furthermore, the professor points out that those workers look the work as a way of punishment not otherwise. He illustrates that it is a sort of manipulation, or disappointment is equal punishment and the more desirable it is the less rewarded it is. It can even be damaged. This point casts doubt from the information from the reading. According to the passage whatever the reward given, it can be benefit the employee attitude.
Finally, the lecture states that if you had a problem at work, just keep quite instead of talking to your boss because this this way you can damage what you have been doing so far. This point casts doubt from the reading's key point. According to the article it is possible to persuade people.
