The reading claims that milions of birds are inuring from glasses since they try to fly through of windows. The author elaborates his viewpoints for the solutions in three main reasons. Nevertheless, the professor believs that none of them are effective to stop from birds harmed and refutes aech of the author's reasons.
First, the reading avers that replace one-way glass which is transparant in one direction as solution since birds can detect it as a barrier. However, the professor refutes this concept by stating that one-way glass reflected as a mirror; hence, like regular mirror can reflect the sky or the various tree and is not well response.
Furthermore, the article posits that painting colorful lines on the glass could become the general design of buildings by architects and prevent from hiting by birds. On the other hand, the lecturer brings up the fact that with this design as people could sea the outside of the buldings if the lines were less; so, birds think they are holes in the windows and fly through them. Also, he mentioned that if the lines become more and more in order to make it possible to detect by birds, but it will make inside of the buldings dark.
Finally, the article asserts that magnetic artifacial field in order to make birds away from the buldings since they have natural ability to sense this field. Contrary, the lecturer casts doubt on this claim by stating that birds only use from magnetic navigation ability on the long distance trips. In addition, he mentione that they only use it in winter season when they are migerating from cold to warm and do not use it in the short distance trip. Birds only use their eyes and brightness of the light in the short trips.
