The reading and lecture both talk about a theory which claims that bees exist from about 200 million years ago. In the reading passage, the author hold the opinion that this theory is based on the very old fossil stuctures that are simmilar to bees' nest But, is disproved by many critics and list out three argument to support this claims.
First of all, the skepticals claim that there is no fossil remains of actual bees. date to 200 million years ago. However, this claims challended by the lecture. According to the lecture, the possible reason for this lackness of real fossil remaind is that about 200 million years ago there was not a kind of three that its resin protect the bees fossil. So, he concluded that, the lacke of fossil resedues is not a convincing reason.
Secondly, the passage asserts that, in 200 million years ago there were not the flowering plants which is essensial for bees feeding. The lecture, on the other hand, has a different point of view and claims that in that periods the bees used the unfowering plant and councluded that the lake of flowering plant can not refute the tehory.
Finally, according to the passage, althoug many structures which are discovered in the the Arixona, are somewhat simmilar to the nest chambers of bees but, they are lake of some elaborated details. The lecturer, another times refuted this theory and claimed that there are some chemical evidents approving mading the nest chamber in that times. According to the lecture, the bees in that times made this chamber by a materials which were same as the material that used nowedays.
