The chart below shows the amount of leisure time enjoyed by men and women of different employment status.
The bar charts elucidate the amount of time spent on leisure per week by sex and employment status between 1998 and 1999.
Unemployed and retired people showed the longest period for leisure activity per week than any other employment status. Unemployed and retired males enjoyed bit more time on the leisure activities than females. Men without jobs had used about 80 hours a week on the other activities, while jobless women spent just under 80 hours a week.
Interestingly, housewives and part-timers are only recorded for females' leisure time and they enjoyed their leisure about 40 and 50 hours, respectively. Full time positions, on the other hand, men and women could afford to enjoy about 40 hours a week for the relaxation (about 42% for male and 38% for female).
It is apparent that, the unemployed and retired men and women had more leisure time than any other types of people. The graph reflects that, male enjoy more leisure time than woman and employed people had less time for leisure activity than retired and unemployed people.
