Team Work
The article states that some organization can earn more profit by determining a team to work on a project and provides some reasons of support. However, the professor explains that there are problems with the author's argument. He does not believe that team work benefits company and employees and refutes each of the author's reasons.
First, the reading claims that larger number of people in the group would create better and greater source of skills and knowledge. The professor refutes this point by exemplifying a company that used a team to work on a project and faced with problems after six months. He states that after some time the companies found many members to working on their own not with team. Also, if the project done well, this success will return to all of the group members while some of the members had not enough cooperation with the team.
Second, the article posits that using a team to attack a project, can save the time and do works faster. However, the professor says that having a team to do a project not only would not be faster, but also can take longer to end the project. According to the professor, having many members in a team, need to have meeting several times to reach an agreement and more arrangements that can postpone the dates to do the works.
Third, the reading says that team working can reward the members and employees can do the work without someone imposing them, so individual team members can show him\herself in the group. The professor opposes this point by explaining that it might be someone in the group who want to take the lead and order to others. Also, if someone in the group like the project would inspire others to do the works while if he\she does not like the aim of the project would warn the other members that it might not work. And if the project fails, it would place to all of the members in the group.
