Overall, the number of travelers using LaGuardia and Newark rose substantially despite the fact that, LaGuardia had the highest number of travelers, whereas John F. Kennedy airport experienced a periodic fluctuation.
Looking at the detail, John F. Kennedy started at 25 million of passengers in 1995, and the increased remarkably to close to 48 million of passengers in 1997 before it dropped to 32 million in 1999. At the last year, it peaked up its pace to end at 45 million travelers used John F. Kennedy airport.
In contrast, LaGuardia began at 32 million of passengers in 1995, after that it rose substantially for the next three years, at 42 million travelers. By 2000, this incremental trend continued to reach at 68 million travelers.
On the other hand, if we look at Newark airport, which started at the lowest point of 16 million passengers in the first year. After that, this rose continuously to 42 million in 1998 and which figure remained unchanged until 2000.
