The graph below shows female unemployment rates in each country of the United Kingdom in 2013 and 2014.
The bar graph represents the proportion of female unemployment in the countries that make up the United Kingdom from 2013 to 2014. There has been a small decrease in female unemployment rates from 2013 to 2014, except in Scotland.
England had the highest female unemployment rates of 6.8% in 2013 and 6.5% in 2014, whereas Scotland was the only country experiencing an increasing percentage of unemployed women; 6.3% in 2013 and 6.7% by 2014. This figure was making the country with the highest female unemployment rate of the four countries.
In contrast, the rest of countries showed a declining trend. Wales had the lowest female unemployed rates of 5.4% in 2013 and 5.0% in 2014, while Northern Ireland recorded at 5.6% of female unemployment rates in 2013, which declined by 0.4% to reach at 5.2% in 2014.
