The charts give the information on the ages of population of Yemen and Italy in 2000 and projections in 2050
The pie charts illustrates the proportions of the present and future populations divided into three age groups from Yemen and Italy in 2000 and 2050.
It is clear that while people at the employment age of both countries have taken up the largest percentages over the years, the opposite is observed when it comes to the two other groups.
In terms of Yemen's populations, although the middle group occupied fewer proportions than the young did in 2000, 46.3% and 50.1% respectively, 2050 will see a significant increase in the number of 15 to 59-year-old citizens with 57.3%. Whilst, the rate of the elder has always stood at the bottom of the list over a 50-year period, which was 3.6% in 2000 and will be 5.7% in 2050.
On the other hand, after 50 years, Italy will witness a dramatic rise in the amount of adolescents from 24.1% at the present ti 42.3% in the future, making them the second largest group in the country. Whereas, not only will the number of people at the employment age fall by over 15% from 61.6% to 46.2%, but the same downward trend can also be seen at the smallest group.
