Today, high sales of popular consumer goods reflect the power of advertising and not the real needs of society in which they are sold.

Nowadays the role of advertising is increasing along with its great impact on people’s choices. There is a belief that most times it encourages people to buy things which they do not really need. I completely agree with this statement but before drawing a quick conclusion it needs to be discussed.
