The reading specifies that there are three reasons that prevent milions of birds get harmed when they try to fly through glass windows. However, the professor explains that this reasons do not effectively make a change and refutes each of author's reasons.
First of all, businesses can use one way glass which only transparent one direction instead of regular glass. Nevertheless, the lecturer contradicts the idea reasoning that when we use one way glass birds still see the reflex of sky on this glass and the do not understand the concept of the mirror and they cannot distinguish the difference between regular glass and one way glass.
Second, based on the reading, companies can paint designs or colorful lines on regular window glass. In contrast, the professor states that when we painting a design of thing stripes over the glass, birds see this stripes as a holes and they try to fly through out this holes which make bird injury. The only solution is to we painting this design very small that cause the room in the building become too dark.
Third, according to the reading, humans can create an artificial magnetic field which guide birds away from buildings. the lecturer opposes this point by saying that the artificial magnetic only guide birds when they are trying to migrate a long distance from a cold area to warm area and this magnetic tell them where they fly. Also, birds using their eye and bright light for flying short distances and this artificial magnetic have not a affect for this.
Therefore, the specific points mentioned in the reading do not make sense.
