The given charts illustrate information about the popularity of the different types of the film among men and women, also present the shares of USA’s ticket market by genres in 2010.
Look at the details, as regards the pie chart, the best-selling genre of film was action, which accounted for half of the tickets sales. Besides, according to the bar graph, it is clearly seen that action films were the most favorite genre for men which constituted 40 percent of the male moviegoers, while there were only 25 of female moviegoers enjoyed watching the same genre.
The second popular film was the comedy, which had approximately a quarter of the box-office. Interestingly, the number of women and man was the same for comedies and westerns at 20 and 10 people, respectively. Romantic comedy and thriller were less attractive than two genres above with 12 percent and 10 percent for each other in the film market. Other genres including western, science fiction, etc. occupied 5 percent.
With respect to the bar chart, 15 % and 10 % men preferred watching movies in thriller and science fiction, compared to 10 % and 5% women, respectively. In contrast, romantic comedies were the most favorite genre for women with 30 who were asked, while men said that there was the last choice of movie catalog when they came to the cinema with 5 men said yes.
