The diagrams below show the life cycle of a species of large fish called the salmon
The diagram illustrates the life stages of a big fish as called salmon.
In general terms, there are three stages for this divelopment in different places of salmon fish.
The cycle starts in the upper river where salmon eggs below the reeds ready to hatch approximately 5-6 months there. After hatching, it will become fry and had length about 3-8 cm. Then, they travel to the flast flowing area of the lower river for the development of the next stage sroung 4 years.
Once they reach about 12-15 cm, they are called smolt. Next stages, they will migrate to the open sea where they willdevelop gradually for this maturation approximately 5 years. After, salmon can grow as much as 70-76 cm in length and they are called adults salmon. After becoming adult salmon, they will return their place where they can lay their eggs below the reeds to start the cycle anew.
