The mentioned graph illustrates average carbon dioxide emitted by each person between 1967 and 2007 of four different countries of the world : United kingdom, Sweden,Italy and Portugal.
Overall, as is represented by the graph, it is clear that British people were responsible for throwing significantly high amount of CO2 whereas Portuguese had emitted relatively low amount of CO2 as comparison to other countries.
It is evident from the graph that during 1967 British citizens released the highest amount of CO2 which was more than 10 metric tonnes but after 1967 it can be observed that the amount of CO2 produced gradually decreased. Similarly, Swedish people threw near about 9 metric tonnes of carbon dioxide while this amount significantly grew and reached approximately 10 metric tonnes 1977 but immediately after 1977 sharp decrement can be noticed upto 1987 then after this year the value steadily dropped.
Moreover, Italian people exhaled nearly 5 metric tonnes in beginning years but the value slightly rose and reached around 6 metric tonnes which further gradually increased upto 1997 and obtained the steady state from 1997 to 2007. Furthermore, Swedish produced only 2 metric tonnes which moderately surged upto 1977 and it rapidly grew from 1987 to 1997 and maintained stable state from 1997 to 2007.
