You have recently started work in a new company.
Write a letter to an English-speaking friend. In your letter
• explain why you changed jobs
• describe your new job
• tell him/her your other news.
Dear Annie,
I'm writing to let you know that I have joined a new organisation as a Manager.
As you are aware, I was not very satisfied in my previous company and the role as a Software Developer because of the monotonous work routine. So to upgrade my skills, I did a 12 months executive MBA course, which resulted in various job related calls from many reputed employers. Finally, I decided to join ABC Ltd.
My new role is very dynamic because I will be involved in various tasks, such as preparing project plan, defining budget requirement and supervising a team of 10 people. I am very excited to take up this role because it offers a challenging work environment and more responsibilities.
In addition to this, the company is sending me on-site for 3 weeks training in Australia to learn about the company's working model and policies, that I would be using during my future work engagements. It would be a great learning experience as well as a chance to explore a new country.
I hope you are equally excited to hear this news. I look forward to hearing from you.
With love,
Ajay Kumar
